Welcome

Marie Miller

Hello!

I am home in Virginia! My trip to India was inspiring. I already miss the food, the friendliness of the people, and the freedom from hair products.

I am excited to be working with The Brown Book Agency (www.thebrownbookagency.com) to help with my promotions and tour schedule. I'll be living in Nashville for the fall. My musical journey continues.....!!!

New pictures coming soon!

Blessings,

Marie

Christian Radio Weekly article

The following is a recent article from Curb's weekly column in Christian Radio Weekly magazine:

Recently, Curb Records artists Nate Sallie and Marie Miller set out on a Midwest road trip visiting a dozen radio stations and squeezing in several special appearances. The first stop was KSBJ in Houston. Nate and Marie were invited to not only visit the station for interviews and performances but also a special listener concert at Chick-Fil-A in Katy, TX where the afternoon show is broadcast live. The 500-seat tent was filled to capacity and another 200 attendees crowded around the edges to see Nate Sallie and Marie Miller perform their current singles as well as songs from their respective projects and a selection of worship songs. Other stops on the Curb in the Car road trip included KXOJ and The Spirit in Tulsa, OK; KOBC in Joplin, MO; KWND and 99 Hit FM in Springfield, MO; KLJC in Kansas City, MO; The FISH in Omaha, NE; KZZQ and KNWI in Des Moines, IA; KWOF in Cedar Rapids, IA; and KTIS in St. Paul, MN. Each visit included interviews and on-air performances along with several private staff and listener concerts.

Nate Sallie is currently supporting his new single “Lone Ranger” which is already Top 20 at CRW AC. “Lone Ranger” is from Nate Sallie’s new album “Ruined For Ordinary” which hit stores in April. During radio interviews, Nate was eager to share the personal journey of spiritual renewal that sparked the direction for the songs on the new album. According to Nate, “‘Lone Ranger’ is about community within the body of Christ and it emphasizes the fact that the early church shared a connection that we need to maintain today. It’s not enough to say it’s just me and God--I need a support system around me within a body of believers.”

Marie Miller embraced the opportunity to further her relationship with Christian radio as “Cold” her first single continues to impress. After turning heads at GMA and finding her way into the Top 30 at CRW CHR, Marie shared her talents at each stop singing songs from her forthcoming debut album and playing guitar and mandolin to the amazement of fans and programmers alike.  Mike Schlote from KZZQ was amazed at her vocal control and purity at while Dave St. John at KNWI said that Marie definitely has “The Wow Factor.”

On the road promoting Cold...

~ June 6, 2007 ~

The Team The Team

Last week Marie traversed the state of VA visiting radio stations. Marie was accompanied on the trip by guitarist/singer/sister Tina and singer/friend Rachel Beauregard. Among the highlights of the trip was a contest held by WJLZ in Norfolk, VA. Winners were treated to lunch with Marie at a local restuarant.

This week started out with Marie and Tina linking up with fellow Curb recording artist Nate Sallie in Houston for a KSBJ brown bag concert . The event, which was sponsored by chik-a-filet, was attended by roughly 700 enthusuastic Christian music lovers. The next afternoon Marie, Nate and Chris Rice treated folks to a lunch mini-concert at KKCM in Tulsa. The remainder of the week includes stops in Joplin, Springfield and Kansas City, MO; Omaha NE; Des Moines and Cedar Falls IA; and Minneapolis, MN.

Marie will be back in Virginia to be the musical guest at WPER's block party on Saturday June 9th. The station expects a crowd of over 1,000 at the event which is being held in Massaponax.

All the hard work appears to be paying off as Cold continues to pick up airplay around the country.

Cold jumps big on Christian AC radio

~ May 18, 2007 ~

The Team The Team

Marie's first single "Cold" made a big leap this week on Christian AC radio, moving up 23 spots from #61 to #38. Christian AC is one of four formats of Christian music that are monitored nationally. The other three formats are CHR (Top 40), Inspirational, and Rock. Of the four formats AC gets the lion's share of the Christian radio audience, so it's great news that AC stations are playing Cold.

Cold has been on the national CHR charts for 6 weeks, coming in at #24 this week. The total number of radio listeners who heard Cold last week was about 600,000; 150,000 on CHR stations and 450,000 on AC stations.

Marie will be hitting the road again to meet and thank radio stations who are supporting the song. During the last week of May she will visit stations in VA and TN and then make a trip through the central states (TX to Minnesota) the following week.

Marie also wants to thank you personally for your support of Cold.
