Improving Your Home
Have you been wanting to make some changes to your home for a while? Maybe finance hasn’t been available as you’ve been paying off other bills, or you simply haven’t had the time to dedicate to a project. Our homes are where we spend a lot of our time so why not use this New Year to turn yours into the place you dream of. Let’s have a look at how to go about improving your home.

A New Kitchen
The hub of the home is the kitchen. It’s where cooking takes place, meal times, homework, conversations, coffee with friends. If your kitchen isn’t quite how you’d like it, maybe it’s time for a change? You can really make your kitchen personal to you. A large selection of hobs if you’ve always got some food on the go. Equipment at a height if you have a bad back. An island in the middle for everyone to gather around. Consider longevity in the kitchen you install. Yes you want it to look beautiful but you also want it to last. Think about cupboard sizes, the number of people you can seat if you have a growing family and decent worktops from Bellagio Stone too. Whatever you need, get your kitchen designed for you.
Sort Your Bedroom
We spend an awful lot of time in our bedrooms. We’re supposed to sleep for eight hours a night, not that many of us do! Plus we get dressed there, relax in there and for some single people, might entertain in there too. Our bedrooms are sometimes places which get pushed to the bottom of the list when considering improving your home. Usually because we think that most of the time we’re in there we have our eyes closed. However for improved sleep, it’s important to create a tranquil space. Consider the size of bed you want along with a comfortable mattress, as well as colours on the walls that promote relaxation.
A Brand New Bathroom
What does your bathroom look like? This can be a great way of improving your home. Many bathrooms look dated and are in need of sprucing up. New tiles, new decoration, maybe a new bathroom suite. Perhaps you never use a bath and would rather have a dedicated shower. Many people will tell you not to get rid of the bath because it can reduce the price and appeal of the home if you were to sell. With that in mind, how about installing a shower room or en suite? This will add value to your home and also give you your own space to wash if you have people visiting.

Give Yourself A Home Office
Lots of people have started working from home, however getting the work life balance right when you are doing that, can be difficult. If you run your own business or are on work video calls, having people walking past in the background is less than ideal. Have you considered a home office? Maybe you can convert your garage or add an extension? Some people have found that a cabin in the garden works wonders and is also a great way of improving your home.
There are lots of ways to take our properties to new heights. How will you be improving your home this year?
